Flashcard maker: turn your notes into flashcards
Paste your notes or upload a PDF and the AI flashcard generator writes a deck covering the key terms and ideas. Study them here, or export them to Anki or Quizlet.
How it works
- Paste your notes or upload a PDF.
- Choose how many cards you want.
- Flip through the deck with your mouse or arrow keys, then export it if you study in another app.
What people use it for
Vocabulary and terms
Biology, history, law, languages — any subject with a lot of terms to memorise.
Moving to Anki
Export your deck as a tab-separated file and import it into Anki for spaced repetition.
Quizlet sets
The same export can be pasted into Quizlet's import box to create a set in one step.
Questions
Can I make flashcards from a PDF?
Yes. Choose Upload PDF and pick a text-based PDF, such as lecture slides saved as PDF or a textbook chapter. The cards are written from the text in the file.
Can I print the flashcards?
Yes. Click Print or save PDF above the deck to print the cards or keep a PDF copy.
How do I import the cards into Anki?
Click Export for Anki / Quizlet to download a .txt file, then in Anki choose File → Import and pick that file. Fields are separated by tabs.
How do I get them into Quizlet?
Open the exported file, copy everything, and paste it into Quizlet's Import box with 'Tab' as the separator between term and definition.
Is it free?
Yes. You can try it once a day without signing up, and a free account gets 5 generations a month, for PDFs up to 10 pages or about 15,000 characters of text. Pro adds 200 generations a month and PDFs up to 100 pages.
What happens to the file I upload?
We read the text to create your study material and don't keep the original file. Only the generated result is saved, so you can open it again from its share link.
Can I trust the answers?
The AI is told to use only what's in your material, which keeps it accurate most of the time, but it can still make mistakes. Check anything important against your notes or textbook.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. The result is written in the same language as the material you give it.
